Programs and Facilities

PROGRAMS

1. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: Through spiritual accompaniment skills training through tutoring, computer training, and counseling.

2. WOMEN AND PARENTING: Through counseling, parenting training, livelihood training, and health teaching related to different illnesses.

3. LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: For youth, women, Public School teachers, and local officials.

4. We offer LIVELIHOOD TRAINING such as:

A. BAKING TRAINING for women and youth to learn how to bake bread and pastries for their livelihood.
B. CANDLE MAKING training for Pastoral Leaders involved in BEC and chapel in the barrio. They are trained to make candles for their chapels’ needs and livelihood.
C. SOAP MAKING: training for women in the barrio to make soap for their use and livelihood.
D. ORGANIC FARMING: training women, seniors, and youth on organic vegetable farming for their use and livelihood.
E. ENVIRONMENT AND ECOLOGICAL TRAINING: We organize and teach the care of our environment through TREE PLANTING and teaching on recycling waste materials.
F. COSMETOLOGY: We offer beauty care training to women, such as hair cutting, foot spa, and manicure/pedicure skills for their livelihood.
G. WALIS TAMBO AND MUSHROOM PRODUCTION

5. We organize and offer RETREAT AND RECOLLECTION to different women and youth groups for spiritual growth and empowerment.

6. We offer MEDICAL MISSION to poor seniors, women, and children in the barrio, FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP, and Vaccination for seniors.

7. SCHOLARSHIPS: We offer scholarships to the youths who desire to learn and study to help their families and the community.

8. ADVOCACY FOR PWDs (Persons with Disabilities). We help the PWDs get the necessary tools and support for their mobilization and empowerment. We coordinate with NGOs that provide wheelchairs or prostheses to amputated persons.

9. PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID. We reach out to different places affected by natural disasters, such as the typhoon that hit Mindanao, Tacloban, and the earthquake in Bohol. Part of our mission is to provide Psychological First Aid to survivors and accompaniment and livelihood training.

10. PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERISM: We have a program for Volunteers for their mission experience and immersion, depending on the needs and skills of a volunteer. They are placed at the center to help and be part of the ongoing program of Saklay.

11. COMBAT PROGRAM (Community-Based Treatment Program) for Drug Dependents. We offer Community Based– Rehabilitation for people who use drugs. (Residential and outpatient clients).

12. SAKLAY CENTER: Where we offer sanctuary to people in need. We have rooms for those who are sick, rape victims, and other concerns. After assessing them, we refer them to a proper center or institution that can care for them.
